Steve Manos - Loan Officer
Let me help you navigate your way to Homeownership!
Picture a young graduate, fresh out of high school, leaving the industrial landscapes of Detroit behind. That was me, in 1987, packing my bags and heading west to the sun-drenched city of San Diego. Little did I know, move would set the stage for a thrilling in real estate.
Two years after settling in San Diego, I found myself proudly holding my real estate license. My first foray into the industry? Recruiting top-tier real estate agents from competitors. This was my introduction to the competitive, high-stakes world of real estate, and believe me, the view was exhilarating.
From there, my career took on a life of its own. I worked for Hensel Phelps, a renowned construction company, and even dipped my toes into land development. I helped countless sellers and buyers, participated in condo conversions (ever seen an apartment morph into a condo? It's quite the transformation), and even explored commercial real estate.
In 1998, I decided to switch lanes and focus on the mortgage side of the real estate business. Starting off as a processor, I was the behind-the-scenes maestro, orchestrating files for loan officers. This experience was invaluable. It was like unlocking the secret language of mortgage guidelines.
My time as a processor gave me the tools to think creatively when it comes finding the right mortgage product for a family. I learned how loan products could be like building blocks, and with the right combination, a family's dream of owning a home could become reality.
Take first-time home buyers, for instance. There's down payment assistance available for them. By thinking outside the box, I found ways to combine different down payment assistance programs to help with both the down payment and closing costs.
Every family's dream of homeownership is unique. That's why I've dedicated my career to finding creative solutions to make these dreams come true. From Detroit to San Diego, from real estate to mortgages, it's been a journey of discovery, learning, and most importantly, helping families find their perfect home.
